Evan Rachel Wood was born on the 7th of September, 1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a stage writer and actor, and her mother Sara Wood is an actress and acting coach. She has two brothers: Dana Wood, a musician, and Ira David Wood IV, who has also appeared. Evan and her brothers sometimes appeared at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh where her father started and where the director is executive. At the age of five, she screen-tested against Kirsten Dunst for the lead role in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) after a long auditioning process. In the year 1996, she moved to Los Angeles along with her brother Ira and mom. She has been a prominent character in television shows film, feature films, and TV movies since. She also earned acclaim for her stunning performance in the role of Stephanie, Mickey Rourke's estranged daughter in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008).
