Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin, Ireland on November 11, in 1966. Model and an Irish actor. She made her debut in the Bond movie, A View to a Kill in the year 1985. She starred in 1989 as Nazi-sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Siobhan Donavan played the role in A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte was in Taffin (in 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was asked by a photographer to model and started to perform the role of a model. She then developed an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody did not shy away from glamour or nude work a clause which allowed her to pursue an acting profession. When she was dragged into the sights to the director of casting for the upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was listed as a part of John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as one of the 12 most promising actors in 1986. 38. Still only 18 at the time she acted in the role Doody was, and still is one of the smallest Bond girl to date. A different early film had her in a minor role as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) in which she starred Mickey Rourke. Doody was a voice actor in the 1987 television adaptation of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in the movie of his dreams. The episode of the Storyteller Sapsorrow was her first leading role. It aired in 1988 with John Hurt, Dawn France and Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took possibly her most famous role ever as Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser the Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade playing opposite Harrison Ford. Doody played alongside Sean Connery in the film and played the role of her father in the film. Doody played the role in the British series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. It was based on the Hitler Diaries publication scam. She then moved to Hollywood. The role she played was Flannery on the screen in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody's first appearance on the screen was in 2003 when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. Doody was a co-star, along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version to King Solomon's Mines. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Later, she guest-starred in the RTE the medical drama The Clinic. She was scheduled to also be the star of a remake in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Pam Jefferson is her role in the E4 Comedy Drama Beaver Falls' first of two seasons. In 2014, she appeared as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. On 21 November 2018 she received the Almeria Tierra de Cine award and she received a star in Almeria Walk of Fame.
